Several years ago, I went to a dinner party at a client’s house. Several of my students were there. They talked about the work they were doing, great healing work. I was so proud of them.
On the way home, I got to thinking. Our work is exponential. I hear some people say that they don’t do enough to help others, but really we do. I realized that for the six people that were there, they had each helped six or more to heal, and their students also did the same. I suppose if I did math, I would find some astronomical number.
It makes me think back to my wonderful teacher, the late Dr. Judith Larkin Reno, and all the people she taught. So many of them went out and made a difference in the world. It made me see that it ALL MATTERS. It all contributes to the healing of the planet.
Way back in 1993, when I started learning Reiki, it was considered a “fluff” method used by kooks with aluminum foil hats on their heads. Today, in 2018, Reiki has made its way around the world and is used in hospitals and even the VA.
So stay the course, no matter how “insignificant” you think your contribution has been. It all matters. It’s all exponential.
